Activities<br />
Computerisation<br />
Status<br />
Guidelines on computerization of CAS and MIS for PACS were issued<br />
in two separate modules: (i) development, procurement & deployment of<br />
software including training on software and (ii) procurement and installation<br />
of hardware.<br />
In Haryana, pilot testing of software in 2 PACS. On-site User Acceptance Test<br />
of the modified software has been completed and SLIC plans for roll out in<br />
325 PACS.<br />
In Tamil Nadu, pilot testing in 2 PACS. In Andhra Pradesh, MIS has been<br />
generated in the 139 PACS which were computerized in the first phase. Data<br />
digitization has begun in 504 PACS. AP State Govt. proposed to computerize<br />
all PACS by 2012.<br />
Monitoring<br />
NABARD has formed a committee for development of Core software for<br />
PACS at the National level. Eighteen States 26 have opted for the national level<br />
core software. Gujarat has decided to develop software suiting its need.<br />
For guiding and monitoring the implementation of the package at national<br />
level, National Implementation and Monitoring Committee (NIMC) has<br />
been constituted. So far eight meetings of the NIMC have been held. The last<br />
meeting was held on 02 June 2010.<br />
At State level, the progress is being monitored by SLIC and at district levels<br />
by DLICs.<br />

At NABARD level, review meetings of Regional Offices of Implementing<br />
States are held periodically.<br />
An expenditure (other than recapitalisation assistance) of `155.60 crore has<br />
been incurred as on 31 July 2010 towards Special Audit, HRD, Technical<br />
Assistance and Implementation Costs.<br />
A Revival Package for LTCCS has been worked out by GoI and discussed<br />
with State Governments. The Task Force constituted by GoI to review the<br />
need for the Revival Package for LTCCS has since submitted its report to<br />
GoI on 25 February 2010.<br />
GoI has, on 25 November 2008, approved special dispensation and relaxations<br />
under the Revival Package for STCCS in NER States.<br />
