Collection, Stark Museum of Art. beating for about 2 Miles more I came close enufffor a sh= ot when I found I had no ball I fired shot but without afect Thare was about 25 cilled whitch ep = lide they camp with fresh mete eatch one getting a share 2Sh this morning I tuck good care that I had pJentey off ball left with Mr HUet and they hunters aU started a hed of they Carts hereing that thare was Buffalo not far off saw they Buffalo about 7 Ms a hed but when we eame up with in a short distance w fo = und that they ware on the other side of a lake (lake de Roch) so I did not get a chance to run them sum of they hunters got a eros and cilled ~~t60. This morning, we aspide an amence herd of BuUs about 10 M. of [otT] they are kn own from they cows by thare standing by themselfs whareafs they cows stand all to gether Mr Hallet and myself went a hed untill we got witltin a half a mile of them. I wanted to run them but he tould me that thare was a law in they campt that no one or partey of men could run a herd with out they hole pa= = rtey was presant. So we wated till they aJJcame up to they amount of a 120 then comenced th prep erations for the hunt We ware behind a small rise of ground so that they bffalo could not see us. every Man now comenced loading his gun examing the pimeing titening the gerth of his saddle all was anima= = tion and life after everi thing was agusted we started on a wak for about 200 yards whin they buffalo saw us for the first time we now put our Horses to the gallop and in 20 minutes ware in the midts of them thare ware at least 4000 all Bulls and now comenced the sloter the buUs flying in eve ray dere,ction It is a wonder that thare is not more ac ide nee happen then thare is.
