Matrix and ranking can fully reflect the participation of villagers, especially
community in rural area. Using symbols that villagers can understand to
express the cont<strong>en</strong>ts of matrix and ranking could motivate villagers' <strong>en</strong>thusiasm
and achieve the survey objective.
Moreover, FLR working team should pay att<strong>en</strong>tion to the role of governm<strong>en</strong>t
departm<strong>en</strong>ts and make full use of indig<strong>en</strong>ous knowledge, especially traditional
knowledge of farmers.
