6.2.1 Energy Performance Classificati<strong>on</strong> (EPC) tool<br />

The tool enables you to assess the BACS Energy Performance Classificati<strong>on</strong> of<br />

your building based <strong>on</strong> the standard EN15232.<br />

This tool provides the following key functi<strong>on</strong>s:<br />

• Acquisiti<strong>on</strong> of the actual state of an existing BACS and allocati<strong>on</strong> of the<br />

c<strong>on</strong>trols to <strong>energy</strong> performance classes A to D<br />

• Determinati<strong>on</strong> of the new state of BACS following modernizati<strong>on</strong> and allocati<strong>on</strong><br />

of the c<strong>on</strong>trols to <strong>energy</strong> performance classes A to D<br />

• Potential savings are derived as per secti<strong>on</strong> 6 of EN 15232:2012 in…<br />

• CO 2<br />

• Determinati<strong>on</strong> of annual potential savings and indicati<strong>on</strong> in the respective<br />

The tool can be used either <strong>on</strong>line or locally <strong>on</strong> a PC.<br />

Operati<strong>on</strong> and EN 15232 standard texts can be selected in different languages.<br />

Evaluati<strong>on</strong> of building <str<strong>on</strong>g>automati<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> and c<strong>on</strong>trol:<br />

• By means of overall or individual factors as per EN 152323:2012<br />

• Using weighting based <strong>on</strong> experience made by <strong>Siemens</strong><br />

If no data <strong>on</strong> the c<strong>on</strong>sumpti<strong>on</strong> of the customer’s building are available (both financial<br />

costs and <strong>energy</strong> usage (kWh, liters, m3, etc.)), the <strong>energy</strong> saving potentials<br />

in percent listed represent a useful basis. In additi<strong>on</strong>, the required improvements<br />

can be outlined in the form of a catalog of measures.<br />
