Chaseburg<br />
Chaseburg is a charming town located southwest <strong>of</strong> Coon Valley on Highway<br />
162. It features a downtown with restored log cabins and a converted stone<br />
schoolhouse to interest history and architecture buffs. Several restaurants make it a<br />
good place to stop for a meal. The town hosts SnoTrail Days, and is the home <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Villages <strong>of</strong> the Great River Road<br />
The <strong>Miss</strong>issippi River borders<br />
the western edge <strong>of</strong> Vernon County.<br />
<strong>Wisconsin</strong> Highway 35 – the Great<br />
River Road – passes through the unique<br />
river towns <strong>of</strong> Desoto, Victory, Genoa<br />
and Stoddard. Majestic bluffs, scores<br />
<strong>of</strong> bald eagles, and flocks <strong>of</strong> migrating<br />
ducks are an outdoor lover’s delight.<br />
Three miles north <strong>of</strong> Desoto you will find<br />
Blackhawk Park on County Rd BI. Don’t<br />
miss the US Fish and Wildlife Service<br />
National Fish Hatchery south <strong>of</strong> Genoa.<br />
