Montesian. An island in the 14-acre lake is accessible<br />
by a footbridge, and the surrounding park provides<br />
a scenic backdrop for a picnic or relaxing afternoon.<br />
Stroll through the nearby Montesian Gardens, or relax in the gazebo and enjoy<br />
the variety <strong>of</strong> blooms for all seasons from early Spring until Fall frost.<br />

One highlight in New Glarus is the<br />
Swiss Historical Village, which <strong>of</strong>fers a<br />
glimpse into the lives <strong>of</strong> the early settlers<br />
with fourteen buildings including an<br />
original schoolhouse, general store, and<br />
cheese factory replica.<br />
