Celebration and
Fireworks
Richland Center celebrates
Independence Day with an old-fashioned,
family 4th of July. The city hosts a kids
parade, games, music and more, topped
off with a spectacular display of fireworks
after dark.

High School
Rodeo Finals
The Wisconsin High School Rodeo
draws over 150 contestants from all
over the state, plus Iowa, Minnesota and
Canada. Thirteen different rodeo events
are held and the top four in each event
qualify to compete at the National High
School Rodeo Finals.
Center
Color Fiesta
Richland County and Richland
Center celebrate fall colors and the
harvest season the first full weekend in
October, with Center Color Fiesta. As the
surrounding hills dress in their autumn
colors of gold, orange and deep red,
the community hosts a fine arts show,
arts and crafts fair, quilt show, farmer’s
market, city wide rummage sale, and
Wheels of Time antique truck, tractor
and car show. Kids’ activities are held on
the Courthouse lawn and include digging
for coins in a sawdust pile, a balloon
launch, a cardboard box maze, local
entertainment, food booths, and more.
Stop in at shops in the downtown, and
stop at the open house at the Art Gallery.
The crowd makes its way by the heartland Cruisers along Central
Avenue to bed races and duck races on Court Street, and then on to an
annual spaghetti supper on Saturday evening. That night, as dark falls,
thousands come for the ever popular “Canyon of Lights” illuminated
parade. The parade route travels through neighborhoods with homes
also decorated for the event. Color Tour Maps are available at the
Visitor Center, guiding you on your way to some of the most colorful
fall scenery and highlighting points of interest along the route.
