exhibits.<br />
Structures at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, Tomah Public Library and<br />
the “Little Red School House” in Gillett Park <strong>of</strong>fer visitors a sense <strong>of</strong> history.<br />
Tomah has an active calendar <strong>of</strong> events. Recreation Park hosts the Monroe<br />
County Fair each summer. The park also hosts the number one tractor/truck pull<br />
in the nation, the <strong>Wisconsin</strong> Dairyland National Tractor/Truck Pull each summer.<br />
This rip roaring event brings competitors from across the nation<br />
to Tomah.<br />
Cross country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, hockey, skating and ice<br />
fishing <strong>of</strong>fer the visitor great winter activities.<br />
Three golf courses, two 18-hole and one 9-hole, a variety <strong>of</strong> fascinating<br />

wheeler bike with Ben Bikin riding on<br />
the structure erected in 1997. The<br />
world’s largest bicycle was built by the<br />
F.A.S.T. Corporation in Sparta.<br />
Sparta is host to the northern end<br />
<strong>of</strong> the famous 32-mile Elroy-Sparta<br />
State Bike Trail and the eastern end<br />
<strong>of</strong> the 21.5 mile LaCrosse River State<br />
Bike Trail. Each <strong>of</strong> these trails hooks<br />
up with additional state bike trails<br />
<strong>of</strong>fering the bicycle enthusiast more<br />
than 100 miles <strong>of</strong> biking pleasure.<br />
The bike trails bring more than<br />
60,000 visitors to the Sparta area<br />
every year. The Elroy-Sparta Trail<br />
boasts three cavernous tunnels and<br />
more than 30 trestles for the bike<br />
