Montfort<br />
Montfort is located on Highway 18<br />
and State Hwy. 80, east <strong>of</strong> Fennimore,<br />
situated amongst the rolling hills and<br />

fields. The Montfort Wind Farm provides<br />
visitors an enchanting look at these<br />
white sculptures rhythmically moving<br />

This small town has a friendly atmosphere and an array <strong>of</strong> businesses,<br />
including the Rural Route 1 Popcorn outlet and gift shop, <strong>Wisconsin</strong> Farmers<br />
Union blue cheese factory and retail outlet. There is also the restaurant, bar<br />
and bowling alley. The village <strong>of</strong> Montfort hosts a VFW chicken BBQ and parade<br />
the first weekend in June.<br />
Any outdoorsman will love this area with trout streams, deer, wild turkey<br />
and other game. Blackhawk Lake and campground is just a 20-minute drive<br />
north <strong>of</strong> town.<br />

Muscoda<br />
Located on the Lower<br />
<strong>Wisconsin</strong> River, Muscoda <strong>of</strong>fers<br />
a beautiful prairie that includes<br />
a wide variety <strong>of</strong> native grasses<br />
and wildflowers. A walking path<br />
connects the prairie with the Victor<br />
Riverside Park & Campground,<br />
complete with electric hookups<br />
and dumping station. A new coin<br />
operated shower and restroom<br />
facility was constructed in 2005.<br />
Adjacent to the campground is a<br />
playground, three picnic pavilions<br />
and a gazebo overlooking the<br />
scenic river. Also available is a<br />
nicely paved boat landing. There<br />
are several backwater lakes to fish<br />
summer and winter, and to view the<br />
beautiful waterfowl.<br />
Within walking distance there<br />
is plenty to do. Enjoy a newly<br />
constructed swimming pool facility,<br />
tennis courts, outdoor volleyball,<br />
horseshoes, ball fields, and a new<br />
track for you to exercise. While<br />
in Muscoda, stop by the home <strong>of</strong><br />
renowned metal sculptor Ellis<br />
Nelson, try fine cheese at our local<br />
cheese factory, visit our<br />
