Practice of Opening the Thrusting Channels<br />

1. Form a Pearl and Send it to the Perineum<br />

In a seated position smile down to your organs and glands, and<br />

put yourself in a state of relaxation and happiness. Begin with the<br />

meditation exercises of the Creation Cycle to form a pearl of compassion<br />

energy.<br />

As you have learned, there are many steps in forming such a<br />

pearl. However, once you have programmed yourself to all of these<br />

steps through continued practice, you can simply push the button<br />

and the whole program is activated. When you are able simply to<br />

sit quietly and feel the sensation of compassion energy forming,<br />

you are pushing the button and the entire process takes very little<br />

time. In other words once you have experienced compassion energy,<br />

all you need to do is to recall the state to create the energy<br />

again. You will not need to go through the entire process each time.<br />

You will know when you look at the pearl whether or not the process<br />

has been completed. If you find something is not right, you<br />

can review the steps and find out where the problem is.<br />

As the pearl is forming, use your mind and senses to control it.<br />

Slowly move it down to the perineum. At any time during your practice,<br />

if the pearl seems to weaken, diminish, or you lose track of it,<br />

return to the navel and quickly form a new pearl. Bring that pearl to<br />

the perineum and resume practice.<br />

While you are learning how to bring the energy up through the<br />

channels, it is easier to focus on the organs the channel passes<br />

through than to focus on the channel. You might think of the process<br />

as learning how to read. Once you are able to read, you no<br />

longer have to think about your ABC’s.<br />

2. Stage One: Thrusting Channels to Below the Diaphragm<br />

A. Left Thrusting Channel to the Diaphragm<br />

In all Universal Tao practices it is important to train the power of the<br />

mind and senses to control our energy (Chi). The power of mind,<br />

eye and heart guides the Chi, providing a way to control and direct<br />

your life force. Breathing techniques also help to activate the Thrusting<br />

Channels. It is necessary to have some control over independent<br />

breathing through each nostril. Since in the beginning this is<br />

difficult to do, you can use your right index finger to cover the right<br />

nostril. Feel the breath on the left side only. Use the left eye, ear,<br />

and nostril to assist you in drawing up the energy.<br />
