Chapter 7: Opening the Thrusting Channels<br />
You now have succeeded in bringing the pearl through the<br />
Thrusting Channels to the crown. Your goal is to follow the sequence<br />
above using nine thrusts distributed among these three<br />
channels. Be aware of how and where the energy flows through<br />
the three Thrusting Channels, and how the three channels penetrate<br />
all the organs and glands. These channels are very powerful.<br />
They clean, detoxify and purify the organs at a much deeper<br />
level.<br />
E. Bring the Pearl into the Microcosmic Orbit<br />
When you have finished this stage of practice, you can bring the<br />
pearl into the Microcosmic Orbit and circulate it. Feel the Microcosmic<br />
Orbit encircling the Thrusting Channels. The top and bottom<br />
of the Thrusting Channels are joined with the Microcosmic<br />
Orbit at the crown and the perineum.<br />
Use your mind to assist the flow of energy through the Thrusting<br />
Channels and through the Microcosmic Orbit when the pearl<br />
reaches the crown point or the perineum point.<br />
Your Microcosmic Orbit practice will change dramatically after<br />
you learn the Fusion of the Five Elements meditations. When you<br />
first practice the Microcosmic Orbit, the energy you move through<br />
your channels is raw energy. By contrast, when you reach the level<br />
of Fusion practice, the energy is more refined and condensed, and<br />
it is therefore much more powerful. The Fusion practice includes<br />
the Microcosmic Orbit, so it might be said that the Fusion meditation<br />
is simply a more advanced way of practicing the Microcosmic<br />
Orbit meditation.<br />
Practice this stage for two or three weeks until feel you have<br />
gained control of the energy.<br />
5. Extending the Three Thrusting Channels above the Crown<br />
Once we have purified and transformed the negative energy of<br />
the organs back into usable life-force energy (Fusion of the Five<br />
Elements), distilled this energy along with the virtue Chi of the organs<br />
into the pearl (Cosmic Fusion), and opened all our reservoirs<br />
or special channels, giving us a larger energy capacity, we can<br />
increase our virtue energies further by connecting with the external<br />
sources of Five Elements Chi and directing the external Chi toward<br />
