Exercise 4.1.2 How to setup user security Before it is possible for a person to use <strong>Cleopatra</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> it is necessary to create a user account. Because it is not possible to login multiple times as the same user, it is necessary to create an account for each user. Before we can access the different security parts it is required to login as a user with sufficient permissions. We are going to use the default Admin user for this. To login do the following: Select "File => Configuration" from the main menu. The "Configuration" dialog will appear. 39
Administrator training Select the "Select database" option. Press the "Select..." button. The "Login wizard" appears. Enter "Admin" in the "User name" field. Enter "Admin" in the "Password" field. Every newly created database contains the "admin" user (password "admin"). This user has all permissions to perform basic administrative task like setting up the security. This user cannot be deleted, nor can his security permissions be changed. It is recommended that the password is changed in a production environment. Press the "Finish" button. The application will now login as the Admin user. 40
