Note: The rubber band maintains the earpieces against the brass mounting pins with a slight pressure which helps facilitate stable placement of the face-bow on the articulator. Fig. 62 While holding the left-bow against one’s body, make sure the right brass mounting pin fits securely into the hole in the right face-bow earpiece. Allow the anterior end of the upper frame of the articulator to rest on the horizontal crossbar of the face-bow.
