Mounting The Mandibular Cast Fig 93 The upper and lower frames are made parallel by aligning the top of the pin boss with the dark line which completely encircles the pin. The pin, shown here at the zero mark, should be adjusted 3 to 5 millimeters above the zero mark to compensate for the thickness of the centric relation (CR) or maximum intercuspation (MI) registration used to mount the lower model.
