Necrology
The Rev. Sherrod Albritton
January 10, 1923-December 22, 2007
The Rev. Sherodd R. Albritton, 84, a retired priest of
the Diocese of Virginia and a former faculty member
of the Virginia Theological Seminary, died at his
Winchester home on Saturday, December 22. Born
in Brewster, Fla., Mr. Albritton attended Virginia
Theological Seminary and was ordained as a priest
in 1966 by Bishop George West Barrett. Mr. Albritton
was professor of homiletics and music at Virginia
Theological Seminary from 1975 to 1991. He had also
served as a parish priest at All Saints’, Sharon Chapel,
Alexandria; Christ Church, Macon, Ga.; and Church
of the Incarnation, Mineral. He and his wife, Peg,
whome he married in 1956, had five children and
several grandchildren.
