The Rev. Thomas E. Clemans Jr.
July 5, 1932-March 14, 2007
The Rev. Thomas E. Clemens Jr., retired priest of the
Diocese, died March 14. Born in Rockville Center,
N.Y., Mr. Clemens received his M.Div. from Virginia
Theological Seminary in 1964. He was ordained to the
priesthood by Bishop Gibson in 1963. Mr. Clemens
served in parish ministry for 20 years, including
serving as rector at Epiphany, Richmond and as curate
at St. John’s, McLean, and was chaplain emeritus
at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital. Mr. Clemens was
predeceased by his wife, Margaret, with whom he had
four children.
