The Rev. Ann Reeder Riggs
May 13, 1935-July 31, 2007
The Rev. Ann Reeder Riggs, 72, retired chaplain of St.
Margaret’s School, Tappahannock, and a priest of the
Diocese of Virginia since 1992, died on Tuesday, July
31. Ms. Riggs served as a nurse for many years and,
upon entering the ordination process, entered George
Mason University in Fairfax, where she graduated
in 1989 and then attended Yale Divinity School,
graduating in 1992. She was ordained deacon and
priest in 1992 and began her service at St. Margaret’s
School the same year. She was predeceased by her
husband, Theodore, with whom she had two children.
