Report <strong>of</strong> Credentials Committee<br />

<strong>The</strong> President called on the Rev. Jason Roberts, Grace & Holy Trinity, Richmond, and<br />

chair <strong>of</strong> the Credentials Committee. Mr. Roberts reported that he had examined all<br />

certificates <strong>of</strong> election.<br />

Resolutions & Canonical Amendments not Previously Submitted<br />

<strong>The</strong> President called for resolutions and amendments not previously submitted.<br />

<strong>The</strong> president recognized the Rev. Marian Windel, Church <strong>of</strong> the Incarnation, Mineral.<br />

Ms. Windel spoke regarding a proposed resolution, designated by the president as R-5,<br />

on Native Americans in <strong>Virginia</strong>, noting that it needed floor action to be referred to the<br />

Resolution Committee. A motion to admit the resolution for consideration was seconded<br />

and the resolution was admitted.<br />

<strong>The</strong> president recognized the Rev. Robert Prichard, <strong>Virginia</strong> <strong>The</strong>ological Seminary, who<br />

spoke regarding a proposed resolution, designated by the president as R-9, concerning<br />

immigration policy. Mr. Prichard called for a task force on immigration to report to<br />

next <strong>Council</strong>. A motion to admit the resolution for consideration was seconded and the<br />

resolution was admitted.<br />

<strong>The</strong> president recognized Russell Randle, Christ Church, Alexandria, who spoke to a<br />

proposed resolution, designated by the president as R-7, regarding Sudan Leadership<br />

and Support. A motion to admit the resolution for consideration was seconded and the<br />

resolution was admitted.<br />

<strong>The</strong> president recognized the Rev. Paul Rowles, New Kent, who spoke to a proposed<br />

resolution, designated by the president as R-6, and introduced it to the floor for referral to<br />

Resolutions Committee. A motion to admit the resolution for consideration was seconded<br />

and the resolution was admitted.<br />
