Camilo Cortés first joined Cardenas y Cardenas in 2006 as head of
the tax department of the firm.
He has over 15 years of experience in tax planning, mergers and
acquisitions cross-border transactions, corporate law and foreign
exchange regulations.
He is a former tax law professor, invited lecturer to tax law
specialisations, member of the Colombian Tax Law Institute (ICDT)
and author in specialised publications about tax and foreign
investment issues.

Ernesto López first joined Cárdenas y Cárdenas as tax professional
support lawyer in February 2000. Prior to that he had 5 years’
experience as a corporate tax advisor in accounting firms in areas
such as tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate tax law
and foreign exchange regulations.
He has experience in local and international business transactions
with emphasis in Tax Law and Foreign Investment. He is a member
of the Colombia Tax Law Institute and author of several tax
publications such as Colombia Legal Framework.
