Recycled <strong>Water</strong><br />
IRWD Los Alisos <strong>Water</strong> Reclamation <strong>Plan</strong>t - Los Alisos <strong>Water</strong> Reclamation <strong>Plan</strong>t<br />
(LAWRP) is operated by IRWD and is located in the City <strong>of</strong> Lake Forest. LAWRP has a<br />
capacity <strong>of</strong> 7.5 MGD. Wastewater is treated to a secondary or tertiary level dependent<br />
upon the ultimate use <strong>of</strong> the effluent. In 2010, approximately 1,470 acre-feet were<br />
recycled. When excess water beyond its tertiary treatment capacity is received, it is<br />
conveyed to the SOCWA Effluent Transmission Main for disposal via the Aliso Creek<br />
Ocean Outfall.<br />
IRWD Michelson <strong>Water</strong> Reclamation <strong>Plan</strong>t - Michelson <strong>Water</strong> Reclamation <strong>Plan</strong>t<br />
(MWRP) is located in the city <strong>of</strong> Irvine and is operated by IRWD. MWRP currently has a<br />
maximum influent capacity <strong>of</strong> 18 MGD with plans to expand to 28 MGD by 2025 to<br />
meet non-potable demands. Wastewater is treated to a tertiary level with advanced<br />
treatment in the form <strong>of</strong> nitrification/denitrification. All effluent meets Title 22 standards<br />
for unrestricted use, except for potable water consumption. All effluent produced by the<br />
plant is conveyed to the recycled water distribution system. In 2010, approximately<br />
20,150 acre-feet were recycled.<br />
TCWD Robinson Ranch <strong>Water</strong> Reclamation <strong>Plan</strong>t - Robinson Ranch <strong>Water</strong><br />
Reclamation <strong>Plan</strong>t (RRWRP) is operated by Trabuco Canyon <strong>Water</strong> <strong>District</strong> and is<br />
located in Trabuco Canyon, an unincorporated area <strong>of</strong> <strong>Orange</strong> <strong>County</strong>. RRWRP has a<br />
maximum capacity <strong>of</strong> 0.85 MGD. In 2010, average dry weather flows collected and<br />
treated were 809 acre-feet. Wastewater is treated to a secondary level and Title 22<br />
standards. All <strong>of</strong> the wastewater is recycled as the plant is not permitted to have stream<br />
discharges, and it is unfeasible to connect to the existing outfalls in the SOCWA service<br />
area.<br />
MNWD JRTP Advanced Wastewater Treatment <strong>Plan</strong>ts – MNWD’s JRTP Advanced<br />
Wastewater Treatment (AWT) <strong>Plan</strong>ts are operated by SOCWA and are located in the<br />
City <strong>of</strong> Laguna Niguel. AWT No. 1 facility has a capacity <strong>of</strong> 2.4 MGD, and AWT No. 2<br />
facility has a capacity <strong>of</strong> 9 MGD. Wastewater is treated to Title 22 standards. In 2010,<br />
approximately 6,721 acre-feet were recycled.<br />
MNWD <strong>Plan</strong>t 3A Advanced Wastewater Treatment <strong>Plan</strong>t - MNWD’s <strong>Plan</strong>t 3A<br />
Advanced Wastewater Treatment (AWT) <strong>Plan</strong>t is operated by SOCWA and is located<br />
within the City <strong>of</strong> Laguna Niguel. The <strong>Plan</strong>t 3A AWT was placed on line in 1991 and has<br />
a capacity <strong>of</strong> 2.4 MGD. Wastewater is treated to Title 22 standards. In 2010,<br />
approximately 1,266 acre-feet were recycled.<br />
SCWD CTP Advanced Wastewater Treatment <strong>Plan</strong>t - SCWD’s CTP Advanced<br />
Wastewater Treatment (AWT) <strong>Plan</strong>t is operated by SOCWA and is located in the City <strong>of</strong><br />
Laguna Niguel. The CTP AWT has a capacity <strong>of</strong> 2.6 MGD. Wastewater is treated to Title<br />
22 standards. In 2010, approximately 900 acre-feet were recycled.<br />
