9. Those who express a preference for a place at the school.<br />
Where there are more applications for the available places within a category<br />
then places will be awarded <strong>to</strong> those having the higher scores first. A tie<br />
breaker will come in<strong>to</strong> effect if we receive a number of applications with<br />
identical scores giving priority <strong>to</strong> those living nearest <strong>to</strong> school. (See note F<br />
below).<br />

(a)<br />
Points for attendance by the child at a church in the Parish of Ather<strong>to</strong>n and<br />
Hindsford are awarded as follows (up <strong>to</strong> a maximum of 8 points):-<br />

(b)<br />
Brother or sister includes step, half, foster and adopted brothers and sisters<br />
living at the same address and full brother or sister living apart.<br />

(d)<br />
Where admission is sought under special medical or social circumstances<br />
criteria, professional supporting evidence eg from a doc<strong>to</strong>r, psychologist or<br />
social worker is essential. Such evidence must set out the particular reasons<br />
why the school is the most suitable for the child and the difficulties that would<br />
be caused if the child had <strong>to</strong> attend another school.<br />
(e)<br />
The district boundaries shall be those recognised by the Ather<strong>to</strong>n Church of<br />
England Clergy. Details can be accessed from the school office.
