<strong>Admission</strong> criteria:<br />
1. Children in Public Care;<br />
2. Children who have a brother or sister* attending the school who will<br />
still be there at the time of admission;<br />
3. Children who, with their immediate families, regularly** attend St.<br />
Mary’s Church Low<strong>to</strong>n.<br />
4. Children who, with their immediate families, regularly** attend<br />
Churches in communion with the Church of England.<br />
5. Other children who have been baptised in<strong>to</strong> the Church of England<br />
or other Churches in communion with the Church of England;<br />
6. Any other children whose parents express a preference for a place<br />
at the school<br />
7. Children living closest <strong>to</strong> the <strong>School</strong>, as measured from the child’s<br />
permanent home address in a straight line <strong>to</strong> the pedestrian gate<br />
entrance <strong>to</strong> the <strong>School</strong> on New<strong>to</strong>n Road using the Local Authority’s<br />
GIS based on Ordnance Survey. (Proof of residence may be<br />
required e.g. Child Benefit Book)<br />

*‘Brother’ and ‘sister’ includes:<br />
a. Full brothers and sisters;<br />
b. Half-brothers and half-sisters;<br />
c. Stepbrothers and stepsisters; and<br />
d. Foster brothers and sisters<br />
who live at the same address as part of the same family unit.<br />
** ‘Regularly’ for this purpose is defined as ‘has attended a church service at<br />
least once per month, for a minimum of six months in the calendar year prior<br />
<strong>to</strong> the application for admission being made.’ Such applications would need <strong>to</strong><br />
be supported in writing by the appropriate Minister of Religion.<br />
“Immediate family”: Individual parents, carers, grandparents, older siblings,<br />
aunts and uncles or any adult residing in the family home.
