Admissions to primary school in 2011 to 2012
Tie breaker
In the event of oversubscription in any criterion, priority will be given to the
children living nearest to the school. The distance will be measured in a
straight line from the child’s address to the main gate at the school using the
Wigan Council’s measuring system.
In cases where there are two or more children with same distance measured
(for example if more than one child lives in a block of flats), where to admit
another children would breach the infant class size regulations, a system will
be used to randomly select who will be offered a place. Please contact the
school if you would like more information about this.
If the last place available is offered to one of twins (or triplets and so on) the
school would ask the parents to decide who, if any, would take the place.
Where evidence is required, it must be included with the application at the
agreed closure date.
