About Us
The Singapore Manufacturers’ Federation (SMa) is the largest
national organisation representing the interests of manufacturing and
manufacturing-related industries. The Federation was established
in 1932 by 17 founding members engaged in manufacturing. It
currently has 2500 member companies comprising of local SMEs
and leading MNCs from a wide spectrum of industries.
To more effectively address the unique and specifi c needs and
concerns of its member companies, the latter are organised into
11 industry groups. The Federation provides several key services,
including representing members’ views in formal dialogues with
offi cial agencies, increasing business opportunities through local
and international trade fairs and missions and enhancing member
companies’ competitiveness via conferences, seminars, workshops
and other industry-specifi c educational programmes.
Our Logo
The three progressive strokes of the SMa logo refl ect
the growth and dynamism of our members’ diverse
industries, as they strive to engage and contribute to
the global market place.
Red represents our national colour and is a link to our
old logo.
Blue signifi es authority and confi dence.
Light blue exudes a sense of vitality and vibrancy.
Together, the colour combination suggests excellence,
professionalism and pro-activeness.
Collectively, the SMa logo projects confi dence and
readiness as a unifi ed body to face future challenges
in the domestic and international scenes.
