About Us<br />
The <strong>Singapore</strong> Manufacturers’ <strong>Federation</strong> (SMa) is the largest<br />
national organisation representing the interests of manufacturing and<br />
manufacturing-related industries. The <strong>Federation</strong> was established<br />
in 1932 by 17 founding members engaged in manufacturing. It<br />
currently has 2500 member companies comprising of local SMEs<br />
and leading MNCs from a wide spectrum of industries.<br />
To more effectively address the unique and specifi c needs and<br />
concerns of its member companies, the latter are organised into<br />
11 industry groups. The <strong>Federation</strong> provides several key services,<br />
including representing members’ views in formal dialogues with<br />
offi cial agencies, increasing business opportunities through local<br />
and international trade fairs and missions and enhancing member<br />
companies’ competitiveness via conferences, seminars, workshops<br />
and other industry-specifi c educational programmes.<br />
Our Logo<br />
The three progressive strokes of the SMa logo refl ect<br />
the growth and dynamism of our members’ diverse<br />
industries, as they strive to engage and contribute to<br />
the global market place.<br />
Red represents our national colour and is a link to our<br />
old logo.<br />
Blue signifi es authority and confi dence.<br />
Light blue exudes a sense of vitality and vibrancy.<br />
Together, the colour combination suggests excellence,<br />
professionalism and pro-activeness.<br />
Collectively, the SMa logo projects confi dence and<br />
readiness as a unifi ed body to face future challenges<br />
in the domestic and international scenes.
