2.2 Payroll - Time Sheets In order to receive compensation for work performed for the Lorain County General Health District, all part-time employees and designated contract employees shall report hours worked or activities performed on time sheets or other forms prescribed by the Payroll Clerk. Such time sheets or forms shall be signed, dated, and delivered to the Payroll Clerk by no later than 9:00 A.M. on the Monday following a pay date. If a holiday occurs on any such Monday, then such time sheet or form shall be delivered to the Payroll Clerk by no later than 9:00 A.M. on the following Tuesday. Failure to deliver the prescribed time sheet or form to the Payroll Clerk may result in a delay in the issuance of a payroll check to an employee. Time sheets may be required for full-time employees as well. 16
2.3 Compensation The Board of Health, in a sincere effort to pay employees fairly, has established a compensation plan with salary and wage ranges which provide for differentials of varying responsibilities. A newly hired employee shall be assigned to Step A of his or her classification pay grade. In those cases where the newly hired employee possesses outstanding qualifications and experience or a special skill, the Health Commissioner may choose to assign the employee to any step higher than Step A. At no time shall a new or current employee be assigned to a pay grade other than the grade designated for such employee=s classification. The compensation plan is subject to revision by the Board of Health at any time. A copy of the agency=s current salary schedule is available for inspection during normal working hours and is kept in the office of the Director of Administrative Services. (Revised 9-08-04) 17
