Group III Offenses
Disciplinary Standard:

Group III Offense Examples:
1. Wanton or willful neglect in the performance of assigned duties or in the care, use or
custody of any agency property or equipment. Abuse or deliberate destruction of
agency property, tools, equipment, or the property of employees.
2. Signing or altering other employees= time/activity records or unauthorized altering of
own time/activity records.
3. Giving false testimony; falsifying or assisting in falsifying or destroying any agency
records; giving false information or withholding pertinent information in making
application for employment.
4. Making false claims or misrepresentations in an attempt to obtain any agency
benefit.
5. Stealing or similar conduct, including destroying, damaging or concealing any
property of the agency or of other employees.
6. Illegal use or sale of drugs.
7. Conviction of any crime involving dishonesty or moral turpitude.
8. Conviction of any felony under the laws of the State of Ohio, or of any offense under
Federal law or in another state that would be deemed a felony in Ohio.
9. Fighting or attempting injury to other employees, supervisors, or persons.
10. Misuse of agency information; removal of agency records without authorization.
11. Instigating, leading, or participating in any illegal work stoppage, walk-out, strike, or
other concerted curtailment, restriction or interference with work in or about the
agency=s work areas.
12. Possession of firearms, explosives or weapons on agency property or while on duty
at any time without authorization.
13. Knowingly concealing a communicable disease which may endanger other
employees; misuse of materials and equipment or wanton neglect of duties as
