DUAL FUEL ENGINE BASIC<br />

COURSE OBJECTIVE<br />

The trainees will be able to maintain the engine in a safer way and will contribute more<br />

effectively to the operation of the machinery. They will learn the basics of evaluation of<br />

engine operating parameters and maintenance planning.<br />

CONTENT OF THE COURSE<br />

• Gas properties, behaviours and safety<br />

• Engine design and function<br />

• Engine instrumentation<br />

• Engine automation and control system<br />

• Start, stop and operation<br />

• Engine maintenance schedule<br />

• Fuel Injection equipments, gas engines<br />

PREREQUISITES<br />

The trainees should have a basic knowledge of medium speed engine principles and some<br />

operational experience of the gas and/or diesel engines. Theoretical education on internal<br />

combustion engine is preferred.<br />
