WÄRTSILÄ RT-FLEX PRACTICAL
COURSE OBJECTIVE
Target of the RT-flex Practical course is that the participants know the differences to
conventional 2-stroke engines and being able to carry out maintenance and inspections
on RT-flex components. The trainees will receive through familiarization with procedures
concerning the most common maintenance work on 2-stroke engine systems and planning
of the efficient maintenance. Hands-on training will be performed on important parts.
CONTENT OF THE COURSE
• Comparison RTA – RT-flex engines
• Introduction into the RT-flex technology
• RT-flex related components
• Hands-on training on:
– Supply unit camshaft
– Fuel supply pump
– Servo oil pump
– Exhaust valve
– Fuel injector
– VCU, ICU, and rail valve
– Pulse lubrication system
PREREQUISITES
The trainees should have good knowledge about maintenance and operation of RT-Engines
and understand technical documents.
