PROPULSION ELECTRONICS BASIC (+ PLC CONNECTIONS)
COURSE OBJECTIVE
After this training course the trainees are able to get a basic understanding of electronic
components, such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, operational amplifiers, sensors
and logical devices including their applications, to improve faultfinding skills.
CONTENT OF THE COURSE
• Introducing electronics and measuring
• Handling of a multimeter (DC and AC measurements)
• Explanation of electronic components with their application
– Resistors (normal, potentiometers, LDR, NTC/PTC, VDR)
– Capacitors (non polarized and polarized)
– Diodes (normal and zenerdiodes)
– Transformers
– Transistors (NPN and PNP, darlington and FET)
– Operational amplifiers (non-inverting and inverting amplifier)
– Digital ports ((N)OR, (N)AND, EXOR, Set-Reset memory and timers)
– Sensors, Transducers
– PLC’s
• Fault-finding techniques on the above mentioned components
PREREQUISITES
The trainees should have a basic technical knowledge.
