PROPULSION ELECTRONICS BASIC (+ PLC CONNECTIONS)<br />

COURSE OBJECTIVE<br />

After this training course the trainees are able to get a basic understanding of electronic<br />

components, such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, operational amplifiers, sensors<br />

and logical devices including their applications, to improve faultfinding skills.<br />

CONTENT OF THE COURSE<br />

• Introducing electronics and measuring<br />

• Handling of a multimeter (DC and AC measurements)<br />

• Explanation of electronic components with their application<br />

– Resistors (normal, potentiometers, LDR, NTC/PTC, VDR)<br />

– Capacitors (non polarized and polarized)<br />

– Diodes (normal and zenerdiodes)<br />

– Transformers<br />

– Transistors (NPN and PNP, darlington and FET)<br />

– Operational amplifiers (non-inverting and inverting amplifier)<br />

– Digital ports ((N)OR, (N)AND, EXOR, Set-Reset memory and timers)<br />

– Sensors, Transducers<br />

– PLC’s<br />

• Fault-finding techniques on the above mentioned components<br />

PREREQUISITES<br />

The trainees should have a basic technical knowledge.<br />
