COURSE OBJECTIVE
The trainees shall be able to maintain the 2-stroke engine system in a safer way. The
trainees will receive a thorough familiarisation with procedures concerning the common
inspection- and maintenance work on 2-stroke engine systems and planning of efficient
maintenance.

PREREQUISITES
The trainees should have a basic knowledge of marine, 2-stroke engine systems together
with some operational experience of the 2-stroke engines. A general theoretical education in
engineering or another sound mechanical education is preferable.

operators, Wärtsilä service- and commissioning engineers and all other
professionals with responsibilities related to shipboard daily maintenance
of vessels with RTA and RT-flex 2-stroke engine types.
