Releasing Time to Care
This programme is based on the lean thinking concept and aims to free up time in our
nurses’ day so they can increase the amount of time they have for direct patient care
and improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of the care delivered to the patient.
Areas of focus include:
• Patient status at a glance - setting up patient information that improves
communication, patient experience and patient flow.
• Knowing how we are doing - developing ward based measures to help the team
make informed decisions.
