PROJEct MAUNGA
The redevlopment of Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth
will benefit all the people of Taranaki. With the design phase
complete, construction work is scheduled for 2011 - 2013.
Project Maunga Gets
Sign Off
Project Maunga design received approval
from Health Minister, Hon. Tony Ryall in
March 2011.

User Groups
User Groups, made up of staff members
and community members have put a lot
of time and energy into the design phase
of Project Maunga, and their contribution
is appreciated.
The role of the User Groups is to
provide user advice to the Design Team.
They provide the appropriate clinical,
operational and logistical information to
enable them to design and document the
Base Hospital Redevelopment Project
to represent current and future service
delivery models.
The User Groups continue to provide
clinical advice to Project Maunga and
assist in the development of new models
of care that will take maximum advantage
of the new ward and theatre plans.
