For the purposes of this notional / feasibility study, the scope of work (SOW) for the team assigned to
identify the critical issues associated with the construction and operation of the surface facilities
required to support responsible shale gas development within the Netherlands has prepared sections
within this report to address the potential concerns associated with the following surface facilities:
• Wellpad site
• Impoundments used for the storage of water
• Water supply pipeline infrastructure
• Gas processing facilities
• Gathering systems
• Transmission pipelines and requisite support facilities (metering, compression stations)
The identified potential constraints are addressed in Section 4 of this report.
