f) fractured bolts, studs, or nuts;<br />
g) degradation <strong>of</strong> protective coatings on bolting surfaces.<br />
A satisfactory examination could include one or more <strong>of</strong><br />
these phenomena should the ISI Engineer determine that they<br />
will not affect the integrity or function <strong>of</strong> the component.<br />
If a detected surface flaw is determined to be acceptable by<br />
the ISI Engineer, a supplemental surface or volumetric examination<br />
shall be performed.<br />
6. The ISI Examiner shall complete, sign and date a data sheet<br />
for each bolting inspection performed.<br />
7. The ISI Engineer, Mechanical Section shall review, sign and<br />
date the data sheet for each bolting inspection performed.<br />
8. If the examination determines that a component is unsatisfactory,<br />
the ISI Engineer shall take appropriate action<br />
to resolve the deficiency. A KUT shall be issued, if<br />
required, and recorded on the data sheet. Subsequently,<br />
a re-examination shall be performed.<br />
9. The ISI Engineer shall have the Authorized <strong>Nuclear</strong> <strong>In</strong>service<br />
<strong>In</strong>spector (ANII) review, sign and date each data sheet.<br />
This indicates that the ANII witnessed or otherwise verified<br />
this inspection.<br />
