• Do not perform any testing or maintenance on a sensor
while it is being used to monitor a patient.
. Bright light sources (e.g., infrared heat lamps, bilirubin
lights, direct sunlight, operating room lights) may interfere
with the performance of the SpOZ function. To prevent
such interference, cover the sensor with opaque material.

General Notes
. A patient’s vital signs may vary dramatically during the use of
cardiovascular agents such as those that raise or lower blood
pressure or those that increase or decrease heart rate.
• The PRO Monitor is compatible only with NELLCOR sensors.
• Software development, software validation, and Risk and
Hazard Analysis has been performed to a registered quality
system.

Procedures
1. Select a sensor that is appropriate for the patient and the
clinical situation.
Warning: Do not use a damaged sensor or one with
exposed electrical contacts.
