May also arrange the funeral of a person who dies without a will. gRIEF SuppORT Alberta Health Services Grief Support Services 403-943-3533 • Individual and group counselling for those experiencing the death of a loved one. Services offered at various locations including The South Calgary Health Centre or the University of Calgary Medical Clinic, Sheldon Chumir Clinic. Calgary Widowed Services 403-272-3729 • A support group for the newly bereaved. Assists people who have lost a life partner through death to adapt to loss and build a new life. These include physical activity, lifestyle enhancement, arts and crafts, fine arts, languages, academics, computers, music appreciation, and lecture series. Drop-in activities such as cribbage, badminton, Artists Club, and Spanish conversation clubs are also offered. All programs and drop-in activities are open to anyone 55 years of age and older. • Kerby Centre maintains a database of programs offered to adults 50+ in Calgary.
