because <strong>of</strong> health or mobility concerns<br />
through the Homebound Readers’ Program.<br />
14,000 talking books and over 30,000 large<br />
print books are available. Films for seniors<br />
are shown Thursday afternoons at 1:00 p.m.<br />
in the Central Library’s John Dutton Theatre.<br />
Cybersenior classes are <strong>of</strong>fered at all library<br />
branches. These free classes are designed to<br />
teach computer basics in a relaxed, selfpaced<br />
style.<br />
An adaptive technology workstation is<br />
available at eight library locations. It<br />
includes a 19” monitor, adjustable table,<br />
scanner, printer and adaptive keyboard. It<br />
also includes s<strong>of</strong>tware that can translate<br />
print into Braille, read the onscreen text<br />
aloud, magnify the screen, and create<br />
documents using verbal commands.<br />
