All Albertans receive premium-free AHCIP
Eligibility:
• New and returning Alberta residents applying
for coverage with the AHCIP must provide
documents with their application that prove
their identity, legal entitlement to be in
three-month waiting period for coverage
below, or the amount paid, whichever is
less. For inpatient care, the maximum
provided outside Canada is $100/day
(Canadian). Benefits are not payable for
the day of discharge. A maximum of $50
(Canadian) is payable for one outpatient
visit per day.
