LODgE ACCOMMODATION
• Lodges provide room, board and housekeeping
services. Subsidized lodge accommodation
is available through MCF

• Provides room and board accommodation
for people 65 years and over who are able to
care for themselves. Services include housekeeping
and 24-hour non-medical monitoring.
Interested seniors are advised to phone
the above number for an application form
and not to apply directly to the lodges.

Assured Income for the Severely
Handicapped (AISH)

• Persons may be eligible for this program
if they have a severe handicap that
prevents them from earning a living.
Medical documentation is required and
the applicant must be at least 18 years of
age and not eligible for Old Age Security
(OAS). Income and assets of the applicant,
their spouse or cohabiting partner
are assessed when determining eligibility.
AISH application forms may be requested
by phone.

• Income Support is a provincial program,
which provides financial benefits to individuals
and families who do not have
enough money for the basics like food,
clothing and shelter. The level of assistance
varies depending on each individual’s
situation including financial resources,
ability to work and the number of children
in the family. People receiving Income
Support receive medical benefits as well.
