Development of Information Society in Spain: Networked education ‘Campus online’: 100% of State universities (50) have free WIFI access, thanks to Campus Online program (6 universities have their own similar program). ‘Internet in the Classroom’ project: In 2007, 99.3 % of schools have been IT-equipped and connected to the Internet. 95% of these are already Broadband connected. In 2006, 92% of Spanish schools had BB compared to 67% in the EU. ‘Internet in the classroom’ program implemented in more than 20,000 schools, through digital infrastructures and content. •6 million pupils and 500,000 teachers benefitted •‘Agrega’ platform: A communication platform for teachers, students and families % of Broadband connected schools Source: MEC and the European Commission Budget Executed: €157.7 M (89.8% of the total).
