3.10.0 FEES AND CHARGES
All applicable fees and charges shall be due-in-full upon submittal of an
application for permit or request for said services. Residential property
owners current on property taxes (no past due amount) for the parcel(s)
connecting to public sanitary sewer and water may defer payment of
connection charges (Danbury Twp.), equalization assessment fees, and
equalization capital charges (PCI-Sewer) until initial water usage or certified
occupancy, whichever occurs first. The deferment charge is equal to
$125.00 per E.D.U. The property owner shall also enter into a ‘Connection
Charges Deferral Agreement’ located in Appendix C of the Public Water
Rules and Regulations. Failure to pay applicable connection charges,
equalization assessment fees, and equalization capital charges prior to
water usage or certified occupancy, whichever occurs first, shall result in the
assessment of a ten percent (10%) penalty of the delinquent connection and
equalization fees. For delinquent charges, the County reserves the right to
(a.) certify any and all delinquent charges plus an administrative processing
fee pursuant to the county sewer district’s rules and regulations to the
County Auditor for placement upon the real property tax list and duplicate
against the property to which the charges apply; (b.) collect the unpaid
charges by actions at law in the name of the County from the Property
Owner; (c.) terminate service for the particular property until the unpaid
charges are paid in-full. Permit fees and inspection fees shall be paid in full
by the property owner at the time of application for permit.
3.10.1 Permit Fees for All Sewer Sub-Districts:
a. PERMIT FEE: $ 25.00
b. REPAIR PERMIT FEE: $ 25.00
c. PERMIT RENEWAL FEE: $ 25.00
d. INCREASED PERMIT FEE: $ 31.00/month on a
prorated basis
(PORTAGE/CATAWBA ISLAND SEWER DISTRICT ONLY)
Explanation of Permit Fees:
a. A permit fee shall be charged for every new permit to connect (or install)
issued. If more than one structure on a property is connecting to the
sewer at the same time, only one permit needs to be issued for the
property (only one permit fee required).
b. A repair permit fee shall be charged for each repair permit issued. If the
property owner is replacing, deleting, or adding less than one (1) length
of pipe, testing may not be required if the inspector deems it
unnecessary.
c. A permit renewal fee shall be charged when an original permit has
expired and the work has not been completed. A renewed permit shall
be issued upon application and payment for a permit renewal and other
equalization fees or charges, if applicable.
