Hee Theng Fong<br />
Nominated by <strong>NTUC</strong> Fairprice Co-operative Limited<br />
Brother Hee Theng Fong was elected to the Board of<br />
<strong>NTUC</strong> Fairprice Co-operative Limited (<strong>NTUC</strong> FairPrice)<br />
by institutional members in 2006. He is not new to<br />
the Labour Movement, having previously served as a<br />
Director of FairPrice International Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned<br />
subsidiary of <strong>NTUC</strong> FairPrice, from 1993 to 1995.<br />
In addition to his role as the Board Director, Brother<br />
Theng Fong serves in the board’s sub-committees and<br />
contributes in various specific areas. He is the Chairman<br />
of the Risk Committee, and a Member of the Nominating<br />
& Remuneration Committee.<br />
As the Chairman of the Risk Committee, Brother<br />
Theng Fong plays a crucial role in working with the<br />
management in identifying and overseeing the cooperative’s<br />
risk management policies, framework<br />
and practices.<br />

the management to ensure that<br />
the co-operative’s succession<br />
plan for senior management is<br />
in place. He also ensures that<br />
the remuneration package is<br />
competitive so that the<br />
co-operative is able to attract the<br />
right people to the right job, and he<br />
actively reviews the various incentive<br />
packages so that they are effective.<br />
