PLAQUE OF COMMENDATION AWARD<br />
Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE) maintains excellent industrial relations with<br />
the Amalgamated Union of Public Employees (AUPE) and its union branch. The management is accessible<br />
to the union branch leaders and responds positively to their suggestions. SCORE is supportive of union<br />
initiatives and has readily released staff from duty to attend union meetings as well as AUPE and<br />
<strong>NTUC</strong> programmes.<br />
In support of the re-employment policy of older workers, SCORE has re-employed workers upon reaching<br />
the retirement age of 62 years. SCORE has made training available to ensure its staff acquires the<br />
necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently.<br />
SCORE has been proactive in promoting workers’ welfare, and continues to promote work-life harmony<br />
initiatives such as flexi time and working from home; as well as benefits such as birthday off, one-day off<br />
back-to-school with dad/mum, three days’ family care leave, marriage gift, newborn baby hamper, and<br />
fruit baskets for all staff who are hospitalised. SCORE also offers its staff zoo passes, and quarterly Fruit<br />
Day and Bread promotions.<br />
SCORE has supported the union’s membership recruitment efforts by enabling the union to hold roadshows and membership recruitment talks on<br />
its premises.<br />
In recognition of its positive contributions to the Labour Movement, the National Trades Union Congress is pleased to present Singapore Corporation of<br />
Rehabilitative Enterprises with the Plaque of Commendation Award.<br />
