Kyowa Security Guard and General Services Pte Ltd (a Police Licensing Regulatory Department Grade
A company) has been working closely with the Union of Security Employees (USE) to promote various
initiatives by the Labour Movement.
Kyowa has proactively supported the call for women to return to the workforce, providing a flexible work
arrangement to help women manage their time between work and family.
The company has actively recruited mature workers. Today, it has 117
employees above the age of 62, with the oldest employee being 79 years old. For these workers, the
company has kept their employment terms and conditions unchanged post-62 years of age. All Security
Officers aged 60 and above are sent by the company for annual medical check-ups to ensure they are
physically fit for work.
Kyowa values its Security Officers, treating them fairly and motivating them through equitable human resources practices. The company also provides inhouse
refresher courses, on-the-job training and Workforce Skills Qualifications courses on a regular basis to aid their career development. The company
gives recognition to its employees through various awards such as for long service, exemplary conduct, incentive, integrity and loyalty. Supportive of the
union, Kyowa has been offering free union membership to its employees and contributed to the union’s fundraising dinner in 2012.
In recognition of its positive contributions to the Labour Movement, the National Trades Union Congress is pleased to present Kyowa Security Guard and
General Services Pte Ltd with the Plaque of Commendation Award.
