University Technology Transfer Center of the University of Warsaw has received the
“Innovative Organization” title and distinction in the “National Innovation Leaders”
competition. It has helped in patenting and licensing solutions in the field of biology,
chemistry, physics and geology.
The University Technology Transfer Center of the University of Warsaw (UOTT UW) was established in order to
better utilize the University’s business potential by providing comprehensive support of undertakings aimed at
practical implementation of research. UOTT ensures full protection of inventions made at the University of Warsaw,
provides information about the process of protecting inventions, supports the promotion of research results,
conducts workshops devoted to the protection of intellectual property, and hosts courses and classes in the field
of managing research and development projects. It is also involved in modeling risk in investment undertakings
of the advanced technology industry, innovative entrepreneurship, product marketing in the advanced
technology industry, and also in searching for commercial partners. Entrepreneurs may receive help in developing
a cooperative relationship with the University of Warsaw and research teams. UOTT also provides access to an
information database including technology offers, and provides advice about technologies implemented in the
economy and their level of innovation. UOTT is a member of the EEN network which supports the building of an
international partnership in the field of state-of-the-art technologies under the Business and Innovation Support
for North-East Poland consortium.
