The Technology Partners Foundation is a scientific research and implementation organisation<br />
specialised <strong>in</strong> the performance of large-scale <strong>in</strong>terdiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary national and <strong>in</strong>ternational<br />
research projects and <strong>in</strong> the management of research and development, technology transfer<br />
and <strong>in</strong>novation. It is an Advanced Technology Centre, a status awarded by the M<strong>in</strong>ister of<br />
Science <strong>in</strong> 2004.<br />

The Foundation’s mission is to <strong>in</strong>itiate and support processes aimed at the rational use of knowledge for <strong>in</strong>novation<br />
activity and to undertake practical actions promot<strong>in</strong>g the development of Polish science and technology cooperation<br />
with Polish and <strong>in</strong>ternational <strong>in</strong>dustry.<br />
The Foundation serves as the coord<strong>in</strong>ator and legal representative of the Technology Partners Consortium, which<br />
consists of n<strong>in</strong>e Research and Development Institutes and two SMEs. The Consortium possesses the follow<strong>in</strong>g<br />
potential:<br />
• 1500 research staff;<br />
• 900 R&D projects performed annually;<br />
• Annual revenue of EUR 100 mln.<br />
The Consortium’s primary objective is to provide an attractive <strong>in</strong>terdiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary offer for <strong>in</strong>dustrial customers.<br />
The Consortium makes use of synergy by comb<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g competencies, knowledge resources and equipment.<br />
The Consortium’s activity has resulted <strong>in</strong> the performance of numerous <strong>in</strong>ternational R&D and <strong>in</strong>novation projects<br />
– both ordered directly by <strong>in</strong>dustrial customers and executed with<strong>in</strong> the EU’s Framework Programmes. Many of<br />
these projects concerned the aviation sector and were performed <strong>in</strong> cooperation with AIRBUS. On 30.05.2011, the<br />
Consortium’s agreement with AIRBUS was expanded to cover the whole EADS group (Airbus, Cassidian, Eurocopter,<br />
Astrium) and extended for another five years.<br />
The Technology Partners Foundation is a member of several lead<strong>in</strong>g organisations active <strong>in</strong> the area of R&D<br />
management, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g EIRMA, EARTO, ISPIM, and K4I. The Foundation, together with the M<strong>in</strong>istry of Science and<br />
Higher Education and K4I, is the co-organiser of the 3rd European <strong>Innovation</strong> Summit 10-13.10.2011, which will be<br />
held <strong>in</strong> Warsaw and Brussels as a flagship event of the Polish EU Presidency.<br />
