By fulfilling its mission, the Center increases awareness of mutual
needs and opportunities and builds trust between academics
and entrepreneurs. In 2010 alone, the Center managed to submit
120 domestic patent applications and 10 international ones. It also
participated in establishing two spin-off companies and assisted
in granting 25 business licenses.
The Center creates mechanisms for facilitating and intensifying the transfer of innovative
technologies from the University to entrepreneurs and other external institutions.
Its areas of activity include protection of intellectual property, technology transfer
and cooperation with entrepreneurs, as well as working with support structures for
businesses and self-governing organizations. The unit’s portfolio is targeted at all
entrepreneurs who wish to use state-of-the-art technologies and knowledge in their
activities, by providing them with access to modern solutions and support in cooperation
with the University environment.
