Food Safety Standards In Major Export Markets: A Readymade Guide For Agro Exporters<br />

PROHIBITED DRUGS<br />

The following drugs are prohibited in food:<br />

Beta agonists excluding Rac<strong>to</strong>pamine<br />

1. Nitr<strong>of</strong>urans<br />

2. Chloramphenicol<br />

PESTICIDE RESIDUE<br />

The food specified in column (2) <strong>of</strong> the table below shall not contain the pesticide specified in<br />

relation there<strong>to</strong> in column (1) in proportion greater than the maximum permitted proportion<br />

specified in column (3) there<strong>of</strong> in relation <strong>to</strong> the food.<br />

Note<br />

“Not prescribed” means the Maximum Residue Limits are not required.<br />
