Percussion
The middle finger of the left hand is placed firmly on the part to be percussed.
The back of the middle phalanx is then struck with the tip of the middle finger of the right
hand the quality of the sound depends on the nature of the structure. Solid structures and
fluids (heart) produce dull sound and structures containing air (lung) produce resonant
sound. Listen for any change in resonance.
