Procedure<br />
1. From the 250 ml beaker containing green and yellow beads, take 10 beads and place them into<br />
the unused 100 ml beaker (this is beaker #3).<br />
2. Remove half of the beads from beakers #1, #2, and #3 (keep them separated so they can be returned<br />
to the proper beaker). These are the individuals that survived the fire.<br />
3. Record your results and place the beads back in their respecve beakers.<br />
4. Repeat this process 4 more mes (5 total).<br />

1. What observaons can you make regarding the gene pool and gene frequency of the surviving individuals?<br />
2. What determines how oen a phenotype occurs in a populaon?<br />
3. Are dominant characteriscs more frequent in a populaon than recessive characteriscs? Why or<br />
why not?<br />
4. If a selecon pressure was against the trait of the dominant allele, what change in a populaon<br />
would you expect to see?<br />
